For this study of Ruby Rose, I decided to lean towards a more "traditionally painted" and stylised look. This time, I spent most of my concentration in getting the lighting correct in grey scale before using my own colours (different from the reference image) as separate layers on top. Due to the nature of the lighting (high contrast, sharp shadows), it was easier to block out the values. To add texture to the piece, I used customised brushes and layered photos of textured paper.
